Fatal error: Call to undefined function currency_api_get_symbols()

I get following error everytime I start to install :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function currency_api_get_symbols() in C:\wamp\www\...\modules\multicurrency\uc_multicurrency.install on line 49

What could I have done wrong

This error is because you don't have the Currency API installed. That's one of the requirements for this module.
