Cannot complete checkout

I'm experiencing something strange at checkout. Each time I fill in the billing, shipping , etc at checkout and hit review order button, i get reverted back to checkout page and not the review page, and all the information at the checkout page is lost except the cart contents.

If i hit the review order button while billing /shipping information is incomplete, the checkout page doesn't lose any information. I only get reverted back to checkout page if all the information is present at checkout and i hit review order.

This problem started happening after i enabled the "other" payment method of Payment Method Pack. I enabled COD, check, and paypal payment method now but the checkout has ceased working and I just cannot get to review page or submit order.

Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem? Thank you.

i'll jump in on this because i'm having the same problem, but only in the french version of my site, not the english version!

i found a similar issue here and added my problem to it:

please can someone help me with this? this happened after updating to 1.5, so it's on the live version of the site. easwari, did you ever solve the problem?

Are you changing subdomain or HTTP vs. HTTPS in those pageloads? If so, maybe the session is being regenerated or switched so that the cart_order variable is no longer found. Puzzled

thanks for your reply, ryan. Smiling but, no, the subdomain isn't changing in the pageloads.
perhaps it's because i've translated the workflow steps (well, not the actual steps, but the display name of the steps). i'm going to delve deep into this later this week when i have more time. perhaps i'll have to revert back to the previous version of my site.
