I use Drupal and need the following functions for a library:

1) People can create a 'shopping list' of publications they need
2) They can save this list
3) Once they've chosen all their items they can download them in a zip file together.

All the items are free so no payment processing is required

Currently there are no Drupal modules to support this, but Ubercart seems to do the trick.

However, I can't find anywhere in the forums if anyone has tried this already.

Can anyone help me in confirming whether Ubercart could be used in this way? Does Ubercart zip file downloads? Can the price be set to free and can anonymous users download products?
