opera specific fatal error us_store.module on line 511

I'm getting an error with a 1.3 installation
Fatal error: Call to undefined function base_path() in /home/www/nc1739/html/xyz/ubercart/uc_store/uc_store.module on line 511
This only appeares using Opera and it shows up at the bottom of the page.
Any ideas?
